Can we just pass over Christmas and move on to New Years Eve, pretty please?! Im not sure what my issue has been the past few years, but I have no interest in this whole ridiculous, over-commercialized holiday anymore. The only fun part for me is walking downtown looking at the pretty, festive lights as they make this wondrous city look magical and also spending time with friends and family, but that is pretty much it. I do miss that special feeling I used to get during this time of year when I was younger and I would like to somehow get that back by creating my own version of this holiday, but I dont want to be a part of it with the way that it is presented these days and I find myself feeling extremely irritated and sad for humanity. I think people have forgotten what this time of year is about. I dont feel like spending a bunch of money and buying gifts and I would rather go help people. I cant change it, but I can change my attitude and perspective which is in the works. Im going to look into volunteering somewhere as perhaps it will make a difference. Ive also called Santa and his spunky, little helpers in for some assistance and we will do spiked eggnog shots and listen to Industrial music until I feel better, he said ;)
