Carver Magnet School had five teams compete at Regional Tournament for Destination Imagination held on March 1st in Greenbrier, Arkansas. In Challenge A of DI, Carvers Slave Busters finished first and was awarded a DaVinci Award for Creativity at Regionals. Team members included Evan Birdwell, Rex Easter, Seth Hyatt, Mallory Wilson, Karsyn Helms, Jorden Moody, and Praharshita Mudunuri. In Challenge E, Carvers Pyramid Jypsums finished first in their division. Team members included Bailey Campbell, Savannah Campbell, Amberly Carter, Mackenzie Bernhardt, Jackson Dudley, and Hailey Albert. Also, in Challenge E, Carvers Two In One performed. Team members were Sara Matusyzk, Lorelai Daniel, Jehiah Williams, Pedro Najera, Dami Ashford, Isabella Robertson, and Cameron Montez. Carver Magnet School had two teams compete in the Rising Star category of Destination Imagination. The teams had to develop a play around the circus. Mrs. Corrigans Rising Star team was Vincent Deluca, Aayushi Modi, Tristanu Clement, Taneice Johnson, Pujitha Kaza, and Bethany Myrick. Mrs. Dobers Rising Star team included Johsajandi Basilio, Skyler Cranford, Lark Dupins, Collin Valdovinos, Alex Smith, Noah Estridge, and Denia Workman. The teams will continue to state tournament on April 5th at Forest Heights Middle School.
