Celebration of Life Week: Day 4 – Today I am celebrating all of the families who lose a loved one, but who – even in the face of such tragedy and heartache – decide to give life to someone else by donating their organs, eyes and tissue. While I received a living donor kidney from my brother, I know that not everyone is able to do this. I was reminded of this recently by a dear childhood friend, Reyna, who sent me the link below about a family who lost their 4 month old baby to SIDS. I cannot possibly imagine the grief of losing a child.
