Chelsea are preparing a €100million offer for Atletico Madrid trio Diego Godin, Filipe Luisand Diego Costaaccording to Spanish reports. Following a mediocre season which resulted in missing out on both the Premier Leagueand the Champions League, Chelsea are planning on making big strides next season. It is all set up for a busy summer in West London, with the departures of Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard, Samuel Eto’o and David Luiz just being the beginning. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants to build a new era at the club, and it appears Russian owner Roman Abramovich is on board and willing to back him heavily in the transfer market. According to the Spanish press AS, the Bluesare plotting a €100million raid on recent La Ligawinners Atletico Madrid. Here are the three names the Premier League club are reportedly preparing to break the bank for: Diego Costa: Brazilian-born Spanish international Diego Costa has been in lethal form for Atletico Madrid this season, scoring 36 goals in 52 appearances throughout the season. The 26-year-old offers strength, mobility, pace, an aerial threat and most importantly a killer touch in-front of goal. He has terrorised defences all season, and he appears the perfect striker to spearhead Chelsea’s new-look team over the foreseeable future. Despite his proclaimed happiness in the Spanish capital, money could be the deciding factor. Diego Costa has a reported release clause around €50million, and Chelsea will have to pay it if they want their man. Filipe Luis: The 28-year-old Brazilian left-back’s future is allegedly decided. He wants to leave to leave the club and join Chelsea. With the Blues in desperate need of a new left-back, the Atletico man is the perfect solution and his recent World Cup omission will have helped make up his mind. With a reported release-clause of €24million, it’s not going to put Chelsea off. Diego Godin: The final name included in the €100million bid is 28-year-old centre-back Diego Godin, who also has a reported release-clause at an amount similar to Filipe Luis - €24million. The Uruguayan international moved to the Spanish capital in 2010, and his performances alongside Miranda have seen him gain widespread praise in the media.
