[Christian Perspective] Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908-1973), a Democrat and the 36th president of the United States in 1963-1969. During his university days in San Marcos, Lyndon Johnson lived with one of his friends in their family house. Several years had gone, and he was no longer in contact with the family after his graduation. But when he returned to the state of Texas on a three day official... visit as a president of the United States, he told his aides and hosts about his intention to spend his three days visit in the family house he once lived while studying at the university. Based on the presidents decision, the entire neighborhood was beamed and marked by the FBI, and special agents. The family were surprised to receive visitors in black suits informing them about the decision of the president. In one day, the family house telephone line received an upward boost from one telephone line to twenty seven lines. Parts of the house were knocked down and re-fabricated to a building befitting only for the president of the United States. The neighborhood received a face lift, and the picture of the house was in all national dailies and TVs across the nation. The history of the family were written and published by major newspapers. It was really a lifetime experience! If a world kingdom president can wheel such an amazing power to transform, how about God? How about our Lord Jesus Christ whose kingdom is all powerful and everlasting? Think about it. For those who havent experience the visitation of the Divine. Remember as you invite Him to spend couple of days with you in your heart, He may need to seal the leaking roof, repair the door knob, change the toilet flushing system, install new telephone lines, repaint the walls, open the windows for proper ventilation, empty the trash can and tidy the house. On your part, you may need to exercise a little patience just like the family President Lyndon Johnson visited knowing that a little discomfort of renovation will bring an overwhelming experience that will by far surpass the discomfort.
