Christmas was always special growing up . Mom loved Christmas. We didnt have much money as kids but Christmas we would wait for the Montgomery Ward catalogue to come in the mail and fight over who would go through first and circle the presents we wanted Santa Claus to bring , what fun an anticipation of the glorious gifts we were to receive . When we were real young we would go for a ride on Christmas Eve to look at the lights and when we would return santa would have been there and presents everywhere . What happy memories as we got a little older the tradition switched to getting up early Christmas morning and my sisters and I would make a pack first to wake up would wake up the others , we would sleep with no covers on so the cold would wake us up early.
