Christopher Saavedra, regl info. technology officer of DSWD-Caraga cited during todays Consultation Dialogue on the Listahanan or Natl Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) held at the Goat2geder Hotel & Restaurant, Butuan City, that the objectives of Listahanan include the ff.: 1) formulate a uniform set of criteria for identifying poor families through scientific means; 2) facilitate sharing of high quality database to public & private social protection stakeholders; 3) reduce leakage or inclusion of non-poor & undercoverage or exclusion of poor from necessary social protection programs & servicer; & 5) lessen the implementation cost of social protection programs by saving resources intended for targeting.
