Closing the Stable Door after the horse has bolted That is what the changes the the Act do. It would have been better for the government to make every dog Owner comply to the same regulations of controlling and owning a car, Training, Education, Maintenance, THROUGHOUT the ownership of the dog. The sad facts are that the Government is so broke, it cant employ the people required to police an Act that would control Owners, so it has to go for the Dogs, who cost nothing to Police, and the problem is wiped away in the cheapest way possible at little cost to the Government! Those conscientious Owners will constrict their dogs to protect them, and thus become stressed and feeling guilty, this then spreads to their dogs, however careful those Owners are, and yes, It will compound and worsen issues, even though it int what we owners want, its what will happen to many. Fear is what the Government knows works. They have used it to control the populous since civilization began. But when they rush things, they slip up, and thats where the people begin to see the cracks. Has anyone noticed the the Government has in fact broken its own legislation made in The Animal Welfare Act, with the changes made to The Dangerous Dogs Act. Anyone see it? to exhibit normal behaviour patterns thing is who has the time and money to challenge the Government? The restrictions now placed on Dogs not being able to socialise, bark, and warn to protect their family is quashing their ability to exhibit normal behaviour patterns And as such is contravening The Animal Welfare Act! This really needs to be challenged in the Courts, its not the Dogs at fault, but the uneducated Owners,
