Coffee BBQ Sauce (from Keurig) https://newkitchen.keurigcontest.ca/?utm_source=newsletter_keu&utm_medium=email&utm_content=father_activities_btn&utm_campaign=20130612_en#tips_advice Fire up the grill! This recipe for coffee BBQ sauce is great for all your favourite spring meals, from marinated steak to grilled portobello mushrooms or glazed ribs. A dark roast coffee adds a subtle flavour to the sauce, enhancing the smokiness of the chili and providing an extra kick to an already flavourful meal. And the best part? It’s so easy to make! Ingredients ½ cup ketchup ½ cup of Van Houtte® Colombian Dark Roast K-Cup® pack coffee 2 tbsp. each liquid honey, lemon juice and Dijon mustard 1 tbsp. each chilli powder and Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. each garlic powder and paprika ½ tsp. Tabasco sauce Instructions Brew your Van Houtte® Colombian Dark Roast K-Cup® pack at the 6 oz setting using your Keurig® brewing system. Pour a ½ cup into a medium saucepan and add all other ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring from time to time. Reduce heat and let simmer. Stir, until the sauce thickens slightly, about 10 minutes. Feel free to double the sauce ingredients and keep refrigerated for up to two weeks in a resealable container. BONUS TIP: Did you know that because of its acidity, coffee is great for cleaning grease? Simply soak your BBQ utensils or grill grates in coffee and let them sit for an hour. Give them a quick scrub and rinse. Good as new!
