Collegeville CC beats International CC by 4 wickets in a high scoring thriller! Firstly a special mention for ICC teams hospitality and agreeing to play a curtailed game on rain affected day. Batting first ICC amassed 172 runs in 25 overs with their captain Deepak Hiremath leading from the front with a classy 69 with brilliant support from Arun Kumar 26 and Yessvanth Sundararaman 24. CCC leaked 30+ extras which compounded their bowling woes on slow and low wicket. For CCC Chandan Naik, Vin Mathew, Ashish Parikh and Harish took one wicket each. CCC chased down the mammoth target in the 24th over with some minor hiccups losing some ill timed wickets. Nova King Harish Koduri top scored for CCC with a swashbuckling 71 off 50 odd balls sharing 90+ partnership with the veteran Sathya Puthraya 31, decent contributions from Devang Vasani 15 and Sir Ashish scoring 19 off 12 balls. Excellent leg spin by Arun kept ICC in the game giving just 14 runs and taking one key wicket. Aggressive batting on a rain hit day enables Collegeville a very important and tricky victory....GO CCC!!!!
