Come out and enjoy a beautiful fall evening Saturday Night at Tastes and Treasures of the Hill Country, 2014, at Happy H Ranch and Support the Library! This is your personal invitation to a fun and most worthy event, one that has been in the planning process for months! The planners have gone all out to create a memorable evening for you! Just what the main attraction will be at this event is hard to say, because there are many to choose from! It will be up to you to decide on Saturday night, September 27; so for sure, you dont want to miss this newly expanded event, Tastes and Treasures of the Hill Country. The venue at Happy H Ranch on Highway 87 is fantastic for starters. Never before has this annual fall fundraising event for the library included three hours of wonderful live music for listening and dancing! This year, the Library is bringing in a regional favorite, singer-songwriter Mike Blakely, along with Larry Nye, to cap off the evening. In between, an array of delectable munchies is being staged, starting with enticing hors doeuvres coupled with beverages beginning at 5:00 pm. These treats can be enjoyed while folks browse an expansive and interesting array of silent auction items. Following on the heels of this, attendees are invited to graze among several stations of savory entrees. Then comes a short, live auction of carefully selected items including sporting event ticket packages, special signature artisan décor items, entertainment packages for groups, and more! And dont forget the desserts and chocolate! The Library Executive Board, Comfort and surrounding Hill Country restaurants, and several food and beverage purveyors have prepared a true Tastes of the Hill Country. Wines and beers will add to the spirit of the evening while the music and giveaways also add to the evenings pleasures. WHEN: Saturday Evening, September 27, beginning at 5:00 pm for Happy Hour. Come on out anytime between then and 6:30 pm for eats. Auctions, desserts, and live music follow.
