Come ye to the faire! Good King Edward I has declared a day of merriment in the kingdom on Sunday the 13th of October. The ladies and lords of Ventfort Hall in Lenoxshire have decided to hold a Medieval faire from the hour of ten until the hour of five. Come hither and cheer on the champions of arms, partake of the feasts, pore over Merchants’ wares, and talk to people from 1297, when the good English king vanquished the Welsh rogues! The lords and ladies have opened castle Ventfort to visitors, and the master armorer, a knight himself, has kindly agreed to display his armor within and speak about it. Peasant farmers will bring beasts for the admiring eyes of the young folk, the archer will teach his martial skill, the Baroness will play her harp, and the ladies of the court will work their handicrafts for the spectators! Come and play at the faire!
