Concerning the verse: “Whoever does not judge by what Allah has - TopicsExpress

Concerning the verse: “Whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed then they are the disbelievers.” The followers of Anwar al Awlaki and Osama bin Laden will have you believe that the salafees or the “madkhalees” have changed the meaning of this verse to defend the government of Saudi Arabia. And that it is obligatory to remove the muslims leaders of this era, all of them, because they have committed disbelief therefore exiting islam. Anyone who supports them or is employed by them is label as worshippers of false gods and their ruling is the same, a ruling of disbelief. In reality judging by what Allah sent down includes every muslim. Laws are only a part of it for it includes worshipping Allah upon the way of Muhammad. It includes how one dealt with people and his behavior. So the one who has bad character is judging with other than what Allah has sent down, as Allah has ordered with good character. So judging by what Allah sent down needs to be understood in the correct light, not a political one. And anyone who singles it out to mean laws, he himself has judged with other than what Allah has sent down. So if we were to judge them like how they judge the people we would say to them: “You have made Allah’s judgment specific to laws and this is judging with other than what Allah sent down, and according to your own belief the one who does this is a kaafir.” But although they call us kuffar we will not do the same because they are ignorant. As for the verse: Ibn katheer mentions in his tafseer, the statement of ibn abbaas: It is not the disbelief which (carries the meaning) you all are going towards. Al Hakim collected it in his mustadrak and said: Authentic upon the conditions of imam al bukharee and muslim and they did not extract it. As for the entire statement of ibn abbaas as found in the mustadrak: It is not the disbelief which (carries the meaning) you all are going towards. Verily it is a disbelief that does not take one from the religion, a lesser disbelief. Ibn Katheer also quotes Taawoos: It is not the disbelief like the one who disbelieves in Allah, his angels, his books and messengers. O young one with intellect and a clean heart. Did the Saudi family pay ibn katheer to put the statement of ibn abbaas in his tafseer also? Was there anything known as Saudi Arabia in the time of ibn khatheer? Do you reject the meaning of ibn abbaas? Do you accept some of tafseer ibn katheer and reject others? And really ask yourself this one. Do you take the interpretation of this ayah from anwar al awlaki over the sahabah of your messenger?
