Consider attending the Childrens Defense Funds Annual Samuel Dewitt Proctor Conference taking place July 14-18 at the Haley Farm. The meaning behind the conference is to allow Christian Theology centered voices in ministry to discuss the meeting place between social justice/civil engagement and the role the black church must play to uplift and support communities. This year there is an emphasis on having younger voices in ministry there. Conference planners of a genuine interest in wanting more diversity in the room so that these can be truly multi-racil, mixed gendered, intergenerational conversations.
