Consitution of the Kingdom of Thailand B.E.2540 (A.D. 1997) was promulgated with the paramount aim of reforming the Thai political system by introducing fundamental changes ./Do not ask me why it need to be changed ? The main goals of the Constitution is to encourage and promote participation by Thai Citizens in the political process aims to bring honesty,transparency,accountability and ligitimacy into THE POLITIC SYSTEM. Right or Wrong ? There are numbers of machanisms for the inspection of State powers such as Constitutional Court,The National Counter Corruption Commission,The Election Commission ,The National Human Rights Commission and so on. Right or Wrong ? The important part of Constitution is also to provide for the new COURT SYSTEM which is separate and independent : The Court of Justic,The Constitutional Court,The Administrative Court and The Military Court. Right or Wrong ? The Constitutional Court and after the latest coup by the army led by Gen..Sonthi บางคนเรียกว่าศาลรัดทำมะนวยหัวคูน has dramatically changed since then. Right or Wrong ? The Constitutional Court s powers and duties should be : 1.Protect the rights and liberties of the people as guaranteed by the constitution. 2.Promote participation of public in governance,inspection and exercise of State power. 3.Reviewing the CONSTITUTIONALITY OF LAWS and Draft Laws. Right or Wrong ? I wonder how many of us ; Thai Citizens, are awared of what is going on in our country when the coup took place and did tear the B.E. 2540 Constitution and replaced with the new B.E. 2550 one with the question unasked : What is in there the new Constitution and the benefits go to whom ? Amnesty Bill were included ? If it is included,how it looks like ? How many of you can give the good answer to yourself ? Yes,it has to be a good answer.
