Contact Us Reserve Bank: Information Technology Learnership Programme Created on Monday, 15 July 2013 12:17 Invitation for applications for the 2014 intake Leading companies from the information and communications technology (ICT) and banking sectors, in partnership with the Belgium Campus, offer an ICT qualification of a high quality and standard to talented are offering talented youngsters from previously disadvantaged communities. Applications close 15 August 2013 The ITBLP qualification and associated learning programme are aligned with the skills needs of the ICT and banking industries. The learning programme consists of the following specialisations: Java / Microsoft.net / COBOL; Mainframe; Databases (Oracle) and ICT Networking and Security. Learners will obtain a National Diploma in ICT Studies at the end of the programme. The duration of the learnership is 24 months (i.e., 12 months’ theoretical learning and 12 months of workplace learning). Learners will further be subjected to an open-learning (distance learning) environment in order to complete their diploma. If vacant posts are available in these companies, employment will be offered to candidates who successfully complete the learnership. Admission Requirements: The ITBLP, sponsored by the Banking Sector Education and Training Authority (BANKSETA), MICT SETA, Business Connexion, First National Bank, Gijima, ABSA, Nedbank Ltd and the South African Reserve Bank, offers opportunities to applicants who satisfy the following admission requirements. Matric/Grade 12 Minimum entry requirements for higher education as set out by the Department of Education, with above National Senior Certificate (NSC) level 4 (D Higher Grade or C Lower Grade) in Mathematics and English. Be willing to study and stay in Gauteng Province Be willing to undergo screening assessments Have no bad credit rating Have no criminal record Must be South African citizen.
