Content: #RapeCulture and trivialization, Julien Blanc. - He really seemed to believe his apology would exonerate him, and seems surprised that it didnt. - He looks confused as to why the man interviewing him would pursue the line of questioning he does. - He believes there is a context in which he gets paid money for advocating violence against women and can never be held accountable. - In response to questioning about what hes sorry for: Im extremely sorry. I feel horrible. Hes not even sorry for how hes made other people feel; that timeless faux-pology would be a step up. Hes sorry, he feels horrible, and its all because hes been labelled The Most Hated Man In America. This has nothing to do with what he did, apparently, and everything to do with the judgment hes experienced. - Hes sorry we didnt get his horrible attempt at humour, and hes sorry we all hate him because of it. But he gets it and his followers get it. - He thought mocking the power and abuse wheel would be funny. The opposite of the power and abuse wheel would likely involve respect and empowerment. He teaches men to grab an unknown woman in a public place -by.her.head- and pull her to his crotch. - Many women stay with abusive men. It is the nature of abuse that sometimes the safest place to be is right beside the abuser. Theres nothing baffling about that, and its too bad Blancs victim-blaming statement wasnt challenged.
