Corporate Canada* is sequestering money, just like theyve been doing in the States, even though they should know by now how much that harms the economy. The only long-term solution I can see would involve a fundamental re-thinking of what money is. It isnt gold anymore, most of it isnt even paper. Its entirely abstract and a few psychopaths use it just to keep score. I think recognizing the abstraction is the key to our way out. “Capitalism, economies, corporations, markets, currencies -- these are not forces of nature, we invented them.” ~ David Suzuki * - I suspect that Corporate Canada in this context is actually the Canadian subsidiaries of giant multinational corporations, which dominate here just like everywhere else.
