"Create internet for all EU citizens" Today, the EU Lithuanian Presidency presented its priorities in the plenary. I would like to welcome the priority set by the Presidency to complete the EU digital single market. The digital single market has the potential to strengthen Europe as a business location. One of the main topics is this: How can we ensure that all EU citizens can use the internet, including those who have only limited access? This is particularly important for the visually impaired. It is unacceptable that e-services are not yet accessible for people with disabilities. The EU must achieve web accessibility in the internal market. Internet Accessibility creates not only economic growth, but connects and integrates people. My vision is an internet for all EU citizens. This is also a fundamental right. The Lithuanian Presidency has the responsibility to push this issue in the next 6 months.
