Crystal Spring Water Pumping Station, ALLENTOWN, Pa. This post card by an unknown publisher was printed in Germany in the early 1900s. The former Fountain House resort can be seen in the center of the photo surrounded by Allentowns old Waterworks complex. Lawrence Street was re-routed on the left side, past the North side of the Fountain House building, in the early 1900s, some time after this photo was taken. The historic Fountain House at the intersection of Lawrence St. & Jefferson St. was demolished in 1980 to make way for the widened Lawrence Street Expressway, now Martin Luther King Jr Drive.
