Curtis White has done some great writing, particularly in fiction, but these tired old 60s anti-science tropes he has trotted out in his new book are now more a hinderance to understanding than anything else. This review/interview gets it. All-science-is-socially-constructed-blah-blah is an argument that now tactically belongs to the right. We need a dialogue between kinds of knowledge, not these endless attempts to rank them in hierarchies of importitude.
