DEAR FRIENDS ON THE OTHER DAY YOGI ADITYANATH M.P. DECLARED THAT AFTER CONVERTING INTO HINDUISM ONE CAN GO BACK TO HIS ORIGINAL CASTE. BUT, YESTERDAY V.H.P PEOPLE MAGNIFICENTLY AND MERCIFULLY GAVE FURTHER CONCESSION AND IMPROVEMENT OVER THE SAID DECLARATION BY STATING THAT THE RECONVERTED PEOPLE CAN CLAIM THE CASTE OF THEIR CHOICE. I WAS WONDERING WHETHER IT IS A BUMPER OFFER OR BLUFF OFFER. WHETHER V.H.P. PEOPLE ARE CONFIDENT OF THE FACT THAT THE UPPER CASTE HINDUS WILL OBEY THEIR DICTUM IN THIS REGARD. WHILE I WAS WONDERING ABOUT THIS OFFER, I CAME ACROSS THE COMMENTS OF HONBLE JUSTICE MARKANDEY KATJU AND ONE OF COLLEAGUE AND ADVOCATE FRIENDS MAHENDRA JADHAVS STATUS REPORT IN THEIR TIME LINE ON THE SUBJECT AND I THOUGHT THEY SHOULD BE REPRODUCED AS IT IS. NOW THE DEFENDERS OF GHAR VAPASI OR HOME COMING PROGRAMM HAS TO ANSWER THE QUERIES RAISED BY THESE TWO LEARNED PEOPLE. I AM NOT ADDING OR DELETING A SINGLE WORDS FROM THEIR STATUS. BUT ONE QUESTION. I had always thought that one has no choice in selecting ones caste. And will members of that chosen caste accept them ? Will they give their daughters in marriage to such reconverts ? Adv Mahendra Jadhav Amid the ongoing controversy over ‘ghar vapsi,’ the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has claimed those who re-convert to Hinduism from Islam or Christianity will be allowed to choose a caste for themselves and will not be subject to unfair treatment. I have not seen such insanity over the part years. The hindu religion has more than 6000 castes( different in their social standing/status) and these people are givin discretion ( ? ) to the convertees to choose their own caste ! Such a nonsense...! Will the hindus exchange their sons/daughters into the converted families in marraiges..? Will they give equal status to the convertees..? Will they let them become priests of their temples..? The questions are many and I doubt these fundamentalists have answers to these questions... This is out and out Anti Constitution Act. Art.25-25 speaks about Freedom of Religion. Each and everyone has a liberty to choose their own religion and faith. Forced conversion and imposed faith will only make society a disgust...
