DIARY OF MAX THE TOUGH COOKIE: day 54 (Saturday, Sorry, couldnt post either as storm cut off MY internet...) If I said to you that I was left from 7:00 am to 2:00pm alone, without a mess, you wouldn’t believe me. It was very exceptional that I was left so long on my own, Marie must have been very busy indeed. Luckily as soon as David and Marie where back David made up for it and we went for a fantastic walk together. The weather was fantastic to begin with. I kept running up and down the lane, David couldn’t or didn’t want to keep up with me, so I felt a huge sense of freedom, stalking smells like I had never done before. I’ve never found anything yet. Sometimes the sudden flight of a bird out of a tree makes me jump and I watch with much interest. We rested together on a tree trunk and I even jumped over a little one. David yield “rabbits” but I haven’t a clue what he was on about. Then it rained, and rained so hard! and the sky was dark and something was grumbling very loud in that sky. Sometimes there was a flash, but that didn’t bother me. David was very matter of fact about the whole storm thing, so I figured there was nothing to worry about. I’m a tough cookie.
