DO YOU HEAR Do you hear the clawing sounds, Scratching at your back door? Don’t open it to see, Whoever it could be, Or you won’t open any doors anymore. Do you hear the crying sounds, Coming from the attic space? Don’t climb up the ladder, To see what’s the matter, Or you’ll come back down with no face. On Halloween night, Keep your doors bolted tight. Don’t let the boogey man in. For if he gets through, He’ll surely torture you. By ripping off all your skin. Do you hear the screaming sounds, Coming from the basement below? Don’t stumble down the stairs, To find out who’s down there, Or you’ll find what the Shadow knows. Do you hear the moaning sobs, Coming from beneath your bed? Don’t lean too far over, And fall in the clover, Or you’ll be pushing up daisies instead. On Halloween night, Keep the covers tucked tight. Don’t close your eyes and dream. Cause if you should die, No one would hear you cry. For without a throat you can’t scream.
