DOES PERFORMANCE OF MIRACLES QUALIFY ONE TO GOD?! JESUS MIRACLES AS THEY ARE WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE 1. John 11:38-44: Jesus raised the dead 2. Mathew 8:14-17: Jesus heals 3. Mathew 9:27-31 Jesus cured the blinds 4. Mark 6:45-50: Jesus walked on the sea 5. Mark 16:19: Jesus ascended to heaven 6. Mathew 8:28-34: Jesus cast out demons 7. Mathew 8:23-27: Jesus calmed a storm 8. John 2:6-11: Jesus changed water to wine 9. Mark 6:30-44: Jesus feeds five thousand men with five loaves and two fishes. If Jesus Christ performed the above miracles without any help from somewhere, then we will have no problem in believing him to be God. And if he was the only one who performed supernatural wonders in the history of Gods prophets, we shall also have no problem in believing him to be unique among the great personalities that ever lived. Let us consider the available evidences in the bible in order to seek for the truth as advised in John 8:32. WHERE DID JESUS GET HIS POWER TO PERFORM MIRACLES? 1. Mathew 28:18:- Jesus drew near and said to them; All power has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Since Jesus Christ said All the power he used in performing miracles was given to him the onus is nw on the Christians to tell us who gave him the power? Where then is the claim of the Christians who consider Jesus as God? Does God receive power from another God? JESUS IS POWERLESS WITHOUT GOD 2. John 5:30:- I can of myself do nothing By the above statement of Jesus, he means that all the wonders he performed were not done on his authority. On whose authority then, did he perform them? Let the Christian answer. APOSTLE PETER CONFIRMED THAT JESUS DID HIS MIRACLE BY GODS POWER 3. Acts 2:22:- He said Men if Israel,hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with Mighty works and wonders and signs which God did through him in iyyour midst as you yourselves knw If what Peter said in Acts 2:22 above is right, then we need no other evidence to prove to us that Jesus Christ is nt God if only the Christians could reflect. CROWD GLORIFIED GOD FOR GIVING POWER TO JESUS 4. Mathew 9:8 When the crowds saw the miracle which Jesus did, they were affraid, and they glorified God who hath given such authority to men This crowd is better than the contemporary Christians who blasphemously glorify Jesus Christ instead of the God who gave him the power.
