DRAMA IN NAIROBI !! Police and personnel from the fire brigade struggled to bring down a man who had chained himself on the Dedan Kimathi Statue along Nairobis Kimathi Street. The man claimed to be grandson of the late freedom fighter. Attempts to bring him down proved futile since he was demanding that the government avails the remains of the Mau Mau hero because, his family still feels imprisoned in the absence of his grave. He planned to stay and said he would only come down if his grandmother, Kimathis widow went to fetch him. The incident attracted a huge crowd around the statute, and resulted in heavy traffic.
