Daily Kos Elections Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Rhode Island primary liveblog #5 ::posted Wed, 10 Sep 2014 02:14:27 +0000:: ift.tt/1sfwKny rss@dailykos (Jeff Singer) Tonight voters in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island go to the polls for state and federal party primaries, while New York will hold a primary for state-level offices only (the federal primary was in June). Delaware is also up, but there isnt much to see there. Our guide to the key races can be found here. Polls start to close in New Hampshire at 7 PM ET, and well be bringing you tonights results as they come in. You can keep track of the winners just below. Results & Poll Closing Times (all times Eastern): Delaware (8 PM) | Massachusetts (8 PM) | New Hampshire (7 PM for most of state, 8 PM for remaining towns) | New York (9 PM) | Rhode Island (8 PM) 7:18 PM PT: NY-Gov: With 38 percent reporting, Cuomo is hovering just under 60 percent. If his final percentage is under 60 percent, it will be a massive embarrassment for him almost certainly. 7:18 PM PT: NY-LG: The AP has called this for Hochul. She currently leads 61-39. 7:21 PM PT: NY-Gov: The AP has also called this for Cuomo. However, he still has skin in the game here: A win with less than 60 percent would be very bad for him. 7:23 PM PT: MA-Gov: And thats a wrap: Grossman has just conceded to Coakley. She currently leads 42-37. 7:29 PM PT: MA-06: Good reminder why we should always be wary of early primary polls. In the spring, polls showed Tierney destroying Moulton. Of course, that was before Moulton spent any real money and had any name recognition: Right now hes winning 51-40. 7:31 PM PT: MA-AG: It looks like well have our first openly gay state attorney general soon. The AP has called the Democratic primary for Maura Healey, who leads 62-38. Shell be the heavy favorite in November. 7:32 PM PT: NH-01: The AP has called the GOP primary for former Rep. Frank Guinta. He currently leads Dan Innis 49-41. Guinta will face Democratic Rep. Carol Shea-Porter in November in this swingy seat. This will be their third matchup: Each has defeated the other once before. 7:41 PM PT (David Nir): NY State Senate: Heres another update: • In SD-34, state Sen. Jeff Klein, the leader of the renegade IDC, has widened out to a 62-38 lead on Ollie Koppell with 37% reporting. • In SD-11, things have tightened. IDC state Sen. Tony Avella currently leads John Liu 52-48 with 39% reporting. • In SD-19, Corruptocrat John Sampson is up 55-32 on Dell Smitherman with about a third reporting. • In SD-14, Corruptocrat Malcolm Smith is getting obliterated 67-19 by Leroy Comrie with 44% reporting • In SD-31, state Sen. Adriano Espaillat is now in the lead, up 48-43 on Robert Jackson. • In SD-60 in upstate New York, Republican state Sen. Mark Grisanti looking doomed. Hes losing to conservative challenger Kevin Stocker 58-42 with over 71% reporting. 7:43 PM PT (David Nir): The liveblog continues here. [Forwarded by the MyLeftBlogosphere news engine.
