Dane could work as a park ranger. We just follow him as he identifies every animal (bird, reptile, insect or mammal), plant and in this case fossil. I know hes brilliant but there are times that his capacity to retain information is simply astonishing. Tonight while he was folding his laundry we started talking about politics and we covered Russian political history up to whats happening with Crimea. The Russian conversation lead to the Kennedy assassination and he says Mommy, every President thats been assassinated was a Republican except Kennedy. Then he talked about the assassinated Presidents deaths, their assassins and how the assassins died. I have to read voraciously to be able to hold my own in conversations with my 10 year old son. Happy Mothers Day indeed!
