David Taylor is a Veteran and the driving force behind last years theme that was enhanced by our title sponsor, the Patterson Foundation Legacy of Valor. David is also the Archive Chairman of the Sarasota Chalk Festival and a friend. David created this video with the help of his volunteer team of photographers and videographers of their personal favorite images from the festival and memorable moments. The festival lasted 6 days and spanned a half mile cover almost all of S. and N. Pineapple Avenue. Over 500 artists participated in all age groups and skill levels being the only of its kind in Sarasota County, embracing diversity and remaining free for all to participate in and attend. I want to dedicate this and thank everyone who contributed to such an wonderful honoring of veterans, embracing freedom and inspiring patriotism during the 2013 Sarasota Chalk Festival. It is because of the incredible volunteers we have that remain diligent, dedicated and steadfast, the sponsors who give generously, visitors who support us and bring the festival to life and the artists who share their passion of life and their skills that turn our streets in to a museum of fine art in motion - a culturally rich experience unlike any other.
