David left for Chicago this morning and he had one last request on how to spend his last day in Lexington yesterday-to spend it with his girls! We had Addison and Shelby for the day. Every little wish and command that they uttered-he complied! In the afternoon, after taking walks, playing in the dirt, playing in the wading pool, swinging on his new hammock, playing on the swingset, playing in the playhouse, etc-they both took a 2 hour nap. After he woke them up, they all came in the living room and while Shelby played the piano for everyone-Addison crawed up in Davids lap and he started rocking her. I was fixing dinner and looked in and saw her looking up at him and him looking at her and it brought tears to my eyes. He looked at me and shook his head and then he wiped a couple of tears away. Every time he leaves it gets harder and harder for several reasons but we see the light at the end of the tunnel!
