Day 1 of 365 - I know, I know - others have already done it BUT . . . until now, I havent! My focus for 2015 is to love more and stress less. I choose to hold my family, faith, friends and country ABOVE all others. Some 17 years ago this month I lost the love of my life, he was not an obstacle (to get over). He was not a roadblock to move on from. He was my soul mate, the father of our 2 kids and, although he did not live to see them, Grandpa to our grandchildren (the oldest, Jacob, was born 2 years AFTER he died; the youngest, Evan, is just 14 months old. The girls Naomi, Abby and Lindsey are 9 1/2, 5/12 and 3 1/2 respectively). They know about Grandpa Bill in Heaven and often talk about him, ask questions, and love him. When I have been sat thinking over past 24 hours I realize that this whole picture has brought me to a decision - to respect and love the past (Neither forgetting in NOR living in it), to give thanks for where and who I am, and to follow a dream - Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me. 2015, Day 1, moving forward and sharing what I have with those I love, and those I do not yet know. I am excited and would add Faith is believing, sight unseen - I believe in my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He has led me to this point, and will guide me along my future path. I respect the rights and beliefs of others (i.e. Freedom OF Religion) and the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I do NOT believe in imposing my will upon others, just as I WILL NOT have their beliefs imposed upon me. As an American I am a Member of One Nation, Under God, with Liberty and Justice for all (owing nothing to anyone that I did NOT personally commit to within my lifetime). Living for now, and the future, remembering what has passed, hoping for what is yet to come. USA is made up of individuals, with not only rights but responsibilities too. We were all given free will - it is how we all choose to exercise that which will determine both our/s, and Americas, future. God Bless
