Day +11 We are home! Kelsey took a picture yesterday with Dr. Burt and team before being released. Last night, Kelsey woke up out of habit at 2:45am (typical nurse/med time), but was able to go back to sleep. She will have her first labwork on Monday and they will continue weekly for the next couple of months. Her liver enzymes were a little elevated at discharge, but they think it is medicine related so will keep an eye on over next two weeks. Her WBC was at 2.3 at discharge and will continue to go up in coming weeks. We, of course, still need to be very careful to keep her away from crowds and anybody that might be sick. We will work with physical therapy on Monday to set up evaluation and start therapy. Our plan is for her to take it easy around the house for a few weeks and then hopefully start seeing visitors later in November. She is always available to Skype, FaceTime, and another other Social Media, etc. Thank you to everyone for prayers and support. We know the journey is not over, but we have come so far and are so blessed for this opportunity.
