Day 15 - 56km Day 16 - 76km We are over half way!!! After a pretty rough start for me, Im feeling loads stronger & healthier. We were told it would take around 2 weeks to feel adapted & whilst adapted is an interesting way to look at it, Im getting used to waking at 4am, running for up to 13 hours & going to bed by 8pm. We ran into a game reserve yesterday & stayed with a lovely man called Neil. His home was something else & he treated the boys to beers whilst Mimi & I chilled on the porch with our legs up. Saw a sable antelope which was pretty cool. Today was one of my favourite days. Lots of technical kms away from the support vehicle. After climbing for 2 hours it looked as if the map had us going off the cliff... And that was kinda right - we scrambled down 500ish metres over 1.2kms. So many rocks & stunning views everywhere we looked. Tom Bell ran 33kms today - his furthest distance ever, very proud of him!!! Our longest day in time out & we are sleeping in fab farm house tonight. I think chocolate cake is for desert tonight - pretty excited for that.. Even more excited that we are over half way. So grateful for all of the love & support.. Sending big hugs from South Africa. https://donate.savethechildren.org.au/FreedomRunners
