Day 18 and Tony was about the same as yesterday. He hasnt eaten very much today as it gives him stomach ache and he is feeling the pain from his leg but he was only a bit confused. I think this is the first time that there has been two days the same which is very comforting. Alex and Marie have been to see him tonight and he was talking to them with only a little confusion. I think I expect too much but as my nephew says we gauge everything on the previous day and if there is no improvement or maybe he isnt feeling well it makes us feel down. The medics will be looking at his progress differently to us, they are looking at it from the start point (which was not optimistic) to where he is today and he is in a much better place than he was. I think I need to see it as the medics do rather than compare one day to the previous day. I am going to try. Xxxx
