Day 3 - Tommy Bolin ( 20 Days of Guitar) I discovered Tommy via Deep Purples - Last concert in Japan. My brother Rad bought the tape when he lived in Papua New Guinea. I was totally struck with Bolins use of an analogue delay pedal on the live version of You Keep On Moving was epic. Then I checked out Come Taste the band, and dug him . His James Gang stuff was great too. But the clincher was his solo works ( Teaser and Private Eyes). Geffen later released a Ultimate Bolin box set which I thrashed. I really dug his voice as well as guitar skils. The sad part was he died at 25. He played loads of diff guitars but the one that struck me was a Strat with a tele neck.
