Day 5 I start this posting off by thanking my friend Mary Cornish for nominating me to the challenge, it has been an interesting and inspiring journey going back through some of my older pieces. Also many thanks to all my followers for your kindest words and your precious time to visit my FB page over the past days, it‘s much appreciated! Today I’m ending off with paintings of all the little and fascinating thing in nature which are not really important enough to be painted, but which I delight in. Frogs, toads, mongooses, surricates, snakes, leguaans (monitor lizards), hedgehogs and a myriad of insects like moths, beetles, wasps, antlions, grasshoppers, robber-flies and bagworms all get a chance to feature in my work. Today my final challenge is to another European artist, Ute Bartels, who’s silk paintings are truly magnificent! And I would like to end this challenge with a salute to my dear ailing and frail father who never ceases to believe in me and my work - thank you, you are the best dad ever!
