Day 8- Jerusalem The imam wept in Qayam ul Layl last night when he recited God is with the patient ones..... It gave me goosebumps. Our brother is released from detention after 48 hours and immediately comes to join us on Aqsa MashaAllah. He tells of how they cuffed and shackled him, then beat him, punching, kicking and using the butts of their guns.He describes how he had no legal assistance and his captors refused to speak English with him and didnt provide an interpreter either. It appears they forced him to sign a document in Hebrew that they refused to explain which is most likely going to be a confession. Though he has been badly beaten and is struggling to walk, he is more concerned about the 9 Palestinians he shared a cell with. He isin bad shape but still wants to do itikaf. However the clinic here in aqsa have sent him to the hospital for x rays as his hip and neck seem in bad condition. As I walked through the precincts of this blessed placed, seeing the circles of men, women and children all peacefully studying the Quran, its clearer than ever that these people are tortured because of their faith. I showed pictures of the thousands at the demos in the UK to the Palestinians and they were overjoyed that so many people care for them. I told them they are like heroes to everyone, but they said we are the heroes SubhanAllah. Request your duas to ease the suffering of people wherever they may be.
