Day One in Thailand. We have arrived safe in Thailand. We had a good flight and took a couple hours today to explore Bangkok. It is not a pretty city, but it is busy and unique. I have not fallen in love with it, but I like the Thai people and culture. The people are not pushy like Egypt, or cold like Prague. They are warm, vivacious, have a reasonable life and existence. They do have a garbage problem, so Bangkok stinks. But it is fine. We love our hotel. It is a renovated boutique hotel in a very "authentic" (less than charming) part of town. Beautiful gem in the rough. We are off to see Siam Niramat, an authentic Thai Cultural show with dinner this evening and off to the Float House tomorrow for 2-3 days.
