Dear All, INVITATION TO ATTEND A POLITICAL DEBATE AT THE 4TH ANNUAL NATIONAL YOUTH FESTIVAL 2014 A very warm greeting from the Uganda Youth Network (UYONET) UYONET is a leading umbrella Youth CSO Network that works to mainstream young peoples’ engagement in development and governance processes in East Africa and beyond. Our mission is to build, empower and sustain a vibrant youth network through advocacy, coordination and capacity building. UYONET in partnership with Open Space Forum have organized a political Debate scheduled to take place on Saturday 23rd August 2014 starting at 2:00pm at the National Theatre with H.E Kristian Schmidt, the EU Ambassador as the chief guest. The Political Debate will focus on positioning young people for meaningful participation in 2016 electoral process. The political debate is part of the many activities that will be happening at the 4th Annual National Youth Festival under the theme “Smart Choices for Youth” and it is expected to provide young people and other stake holders with a platform to discuss pressing political challenges affecting the Nation; the proposed electoral reforms, National ID registration, and the much contested special interest representation in parliament among others. This therefore serves to invite you to attend and meaningfully contribute to the debate. We believe that your active participation will significantly enrich this process.
