Dear Annabelle; As I hold your tiny 12, 1lb 11 ounce body and stare at your gorgeous face I think about how I never got the chance to look into your eyes and tell you how much I love you. You have taught me so much about the true meaning of husband, man and father. From day one your birth was an adventure. We started with bleeding apparently normal, moved on to Down syndrome threat came back negative, one heart condition that quickly morphed into 6 major heart problems. Your mother developed placenta previa and the flow from your umbilical cord was intermittent. Though through it all you continued to grow for 27 weeks. It was at a slower rate than most but still progress leaving a glimmer of hope the whole time. You were a fighter, no doubt with the Flynn last name, but at some point between the hours of 430pm-1103 pm on April 1st you had been through enough. Your poor weak heart quit beating and you moved on to peace and no more suffering. You showed me along with your mother the strong support network we have with our outstanding friends and family. You made me fall in love even deeper with your mom as I watched her strength through all of this and of course I fell in love with you the moment the stick read positive. Annabelle Hazel Flynn, my daughter, you broke into this world at 1103 pm on April 1st, although you were not alive you have taught us all how to be better people and you have shown me to appreciate what I have in front of me. From all of your family, Ellie your big sister, Mya your dog, your mother and I we love you, may you rest in peace and when the time calls I will see you in heaven my lil Princess.
