Job Description Mandatory Skills: Mainframe OS/390 utility skills MVS JCL - read and write Scheduling Administrator Support experience for CA-7 and/or Control-M, and/or ASG-Zeke This would include general security knowledge about the products Mainframe system structure knowledge and how it interacts with other systems Basic storage technology knowledge (including TMS) Excellent communication skills to relay issues and solutions to the proper audiences Ability to be oncall and work whatever hours are required to support the client base Nice to have Skills: Output management products (i.e. CA-View/Mobius) REXX / CLIST Cobol Endevor experience Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining the job scheduling system and new/improved work Requires advanced problem solving skills Plays a lead role in problem escalations Coaches and shares information with professionals with less experience and/or expertise Works under general supervision with some latitude for independent judgment Experience with upgrading, configuring, and maintaining Mainframe scheduling tools; CA-7 and/or BMC Control-M and/or ASG-Zeke Able to work efficiently with a variety of operating systems on mainframe platforms. This would include some knowledge interfacing with open systems including: Solaris, AIX, ZLinux, Windows, and RedHat Linux. Migration of elements utilizing various Change Management tools such as Endevor. Define jobs and batch flows within Open Systems scheduling tools including: ASG-Zeke, CA-7 and BMC Control-M. MVS JCL creation and maintenance Utilization of IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, and DFSORT and other general IBM utilities. Familiarity with various file transmission protocols including: Connect Direct, FTP, FTP w/ SSL, and SFTP. Shift Timings : Resource should be ready to work on dedicated US shift.
