Dear Family and friends, On March 29, 2014, I will be traveling with some of my classmates to our nation’s capital on the Christel House Academy Middle School’s second Washington, D.C. field trip called, “Washington, D.C.: A Nation’s Past, Present & Future”. I will be joining other students as we travel throughout the city visiting historical landmarks, museums, and much more. This trip will enhance our education by giving us a glance of what we will learn in our Social Studies class next year as 8th graders/freshmen. Learning is much more interesting and impactful when it happens outside of the classroom, so this field trip will not only be a lot of fun, but will gives us a different way of learning about our nation! We not only want to go to DC because we want to have fun, but because we love to learn and traveling only enhances our education! But, our trip will not be possible without the generous donations of family and friends. As our trip’s departure date approaches, and payment becomes due, donations are crucial to lowering the cost of the trip for not only me, but for all students traveling.
