Dear Mira Friends, Here is the latest update on Arial. It turns - TopicsExpress

Dear Mira Friends, Here is the latest update on Arial. It turns out that Arial, originally named Flower, has an owner. He contacted SPCA and was referred to us after learning that we got hold of his cat. He also left a PM on our page asking us to call him. We did. Our volunteer had met up with owner who burst into tears upon seeing the condition of Arial at the clinic. According to owner, Arial managed to escape through the kitchen windows despite of them being closed before the family went out. It was an accident and more so, a mishap. To put thing in a positive light, is it is not an abuse case as reported to us. Now the dilemma is that owner is a youth who is entering the national service soon. His family definitely cant afford such big sum of money to treat Arial. After some assessment and consideration, our team feels that owner is actually rather responsible. He did the basic procedures of sterilizing his cat and feeding her well. The accident was unexpected and not entirely his fault. We also understand since Arial has an owner, unlike the initial suspicion of her being thrown down, it is unfair for the members of the public to bear her medical cost. On the other hand, we do not want to stop helping halfway as the main issue here is to save Arial and hopefully she can pull through this ordeal. The welfare of the cat comes first. We will continue to handle this case and treat Arial with the following conditions: 1. Owner to mesh up all windows for the sake of another home cat. 2. Team mira will make decision on medical treatment and processes. 3. Owners family to contribute partial medical bill at least as a gesture of responsibility and ownership. We understand if those who donated and wish for a refund, you may PM us your bank account numbers and we will gladly do so. Do give us some time to do it as you know we also have full time jobs in the day. For those who still wish to contribute to Arials medical fee, we truly appreciate your kindness and thank you for your magnanimity to save Arial. Thank you. Team Mira
