Dear SonRise Parents & Kids, My Open Bible Church Family, many friends and family, It is with a very heavy heart and broken spirit that I write you this letter. I know some of you may have received a letter from Open Bible Church informing you that SonRise Grade School, Kindergarten - 5th Grade, is closed and that Linda Buehler is no longer the director of SonRise. I want you to know that God gave me the vision of a Christian School & DayCare at Open Bible Church 29 years ago. It has been my calling and ministry from God and I always knew that I was in the perfect WILL of God. SonRise has always been run and operated on total trust and faith in God to provide for the program (through many miracles over the years) and to be a blessing to Open Bible Church (which has been blessed beyond my wildest dreams). God has blessed me over the years with the very best Christian staff who became my best friends. We prayed together every day in the staff room before school that God would use us in a mighty way to teach and bless every child and family who would walk through our doors. I have prayed with every child who attended SonRise and most importantly the prayer to ask Jesus into their heart and be their Lord and Savior. I give all the Glory and Honor to God and pray that those little hearts will hang on to Jesus, to live as a servant of Christ the rest of their life and we will meet in heaven some day! I also want you to know that it was NOT MY PLAN to close SonRise Grade School or to leave the ministry and calling that God gave me 29 years ago. I have been so very hurt by the decision to close the Grade School and shocked that I was terminated as the Director of SonRise. I am so very sorry because I know that this will be hard for your child and for you. I am praying that God will give you guidance to select another school and to continue to guide your child through life. Please pray for me also. I know that God is in control and He has an ultimate plan and I will continue to trust Him, especially in the middle of the storm!! Thank you for allowing me to share in the life of your child(ren). I have truly loved every minute of it and will continue to hold every precious memory close to my heart. Im SO VERY SORRY. To my Open Bible Waterloo Church family of 40 years...I will always love you. Thank you for so many years of support and love, through the good and bad times. I have loved being the Childrens Pastor and have so many great memories of Sunday Morning Generation Jesus, Wednesday Night Jesus Freaks, VBS, Christmas Programs, Church Camp, etc. I love the kids and most of all love watching them grow up in Jesus. Please keep in touch! To all my family and many dear friends, it is at a time like this that God shows you who really cares! In a matter of minutes my life has forever changed...I trust in God and know that He has a plan for me and I will continue to seek His Will.
