Dear Vicki ... you seem to have a lot of the problems that I have, and you need to give your boyfriend a break ... the only people that are going to be able to understand you, and your life, is going to be someone that has the same problems. A very good example would be a victim of rape ... the average person may try, very hard, to understand what the victim went through, and how it has affected his/her life ... but only another rape victim is going to be able to come anywhere near understanding what the victim went, is going, through. Plus, considering we are all different, and have varying experiences/devastations ... no one is going to be able to understand you and/or your frame of mind since the rape. Yes, I know your question has nothing to do with rape ... but it is the best example to give. There are some victims that go through a rape and try their best to bury it in the past ... these people still feel the horror of it all, but they work very hard to bury it all ... until it seems to be gone forever. Its never gone forever ... it will still change you, no matter what. On the other side of the coin we have a person that cannot bury the devastation, because it consumes them ... because these type of people were broken years before they were raped. Unfortunately ... victim 1 may, some day, meet victim 2, and say ... Hey, I got raped, and I got over it ... get over it! Unfortunately, victim 1 has just created more of a victim of victim 2 ... making the latter feel all that more inferior. Victim 2 could easily become suicidal, because another rape victim has now convinced victim 2 that he/she is a pathetic drama queen with no guts! Now you see why I used this example! When it comes to our problems ... our biggest problem, when it comes to interacting with others, is that we do not look like we are autistic ... we dont fit the mold that television has cast of an autistic person. Look around you ... in a crowd ... how many autistic people do you see? I believe we, all of us, are either being lied to, about autism ... or science just hasnt caught up with the obvious truth about birth defects ... of the mind! As a matter of fact ... your boyfriend may be autistic as well! Know how I can say that? Because autistics attract other autistics ... just like how Downs victims are attracted to other people with Downs! My parents were victims of manic-depression ... as well as having no real self-esteem. My mother was bi-polar ... she went ballistic during her pregnancies ... and my childhood was full of them! My father and I suffered greatly ... unfortunately, I couldnt just walk away and go get a drink, like my dad did. Now lets talk about my siblings ... all carriers of manic depression! Not knowing, as a child, what I know now ... I believed my siblings might of had a better chance of coming out somewhat normal ... she loved them ... she hated me. I did not know that when I was out of the picture ... mom would turn her disgust/hate upon my brother, second oldest child in the family(?). One good thing ... she never shot any of my siblings! The point is this ... my two brothers married and had children that have some degree of autism/manic depression. My oldest sister seems to have either married a man that was a carrier of Downs, or one of our parents was a carrier. As far as I know, that sister is the only one that had a child with Downs ... however ... my youngest sister had a child which she gave up when it was born. I have no idea if that child had Downs, or not. By the way ... I am more proud of my sisters because they did exactly what they should have done with their children! I dont believe my youngest sister should ever have a child and keep it ... evidently, according to my other siblings, she is exactly like our mother ... and no child should ever be subjected to that type of person. One of the best examples, ever, for making people face the facts of brain disorders, and how many people suffer from these disorders, is my hero ..... ROBIN WILLIAMS! Did any of his fans know that he suffered from manic-depression, or that he was a functional autistic ... let alone having OCD and Dyslexia ... according to Robin ... himself. Who knew? Very few people, certainly not you, or anyone youve ever known ... because people do everything they can to hide these defects! Now ... one might ask why science and government would hide these things, and the stats? Well, because science and government are the guilty parties that brought about most of these defects. How ... the creation of The Bomb! Let me let you in on something ... the ozone layer was created to give us a shield against the harmful rays of the sun ... destructive rays of radiation. The ozone was created to withstand a certain amount of radiation ... which means the further away the sun is, the less lethal is its rays. However, creating a source of radiation and setting it free into our atmosphere means that what the ozone was protecting us from ... we created on this side of the ozone layer! Bomb tests were done far away from any population, but, what they did not take into consideration was ..... wait for it ..... the ozone kept the radiation from dispersing out into the galaxy! And then they created even bigger explosions ... to the point that it started to help the suns radiation eat away at the ozone layer ... but ... the last straw came when America bombed Japan in the 1940s. At 8:15 a.m. on August 6, 1945 ... the beginning of our end began ... filled with all the diseases/defects that our ancestors unleashed on Japan ... not realizing than what goes up, must come down ... somewhere! That somewhere is everywhere on earth! Do you know what all this means? First ... everyone on earth, right now, was born with some kind of a defect ... in some degree. Unfortunately, in some degree means that it usually goes undiagnosed because the person doesnt match a full-blown autistic/manic depressive/dyslexic etc., etc., etc.! However, if it is true that we have so much in common ... I wonder if you ever wanted to entertain people, like I did. Do you know where you can find the worse cases of those that are like us, worse, or not quite as bad? Heres a few clues ..... Barbra Streisand, Charles Manson, Marilyn Monroe, Jeffrey Dahmer, Robin Williams, John Wayne Gacy, Cory Monteith, ..... youll find some of the worse cases in the entertainment industry ... which is tied with our jails and prisons! And of that opens up a huge discussion about why our justice system has been a failure since the day it was created. The major problem is that justice is blind! Second ... a jury of your peers has never existed, not since it was invented. How can a white judge a black? How can a straight judge a gay? How can a manic depressive be judged by a non-manic depressive? THEY CANT! Certainly not fairly! How can a homeless person be judged by a person that has a home, friends, family, and enough love to get by? How can a poor person be judged by a rich person? How can a defective brain, to any degree, be judged by a non-defective brain? How can a person that has been abused all of his/her life be judged by someone that grew up in a relatively happy family? If a court wants to judge a homeless person ... the judge needs to round-up 12 available homeless people! By the way ... not a huge task, we all know where they are ... on the major streets of every city across America ... and plenty more are created 365 days a year! Yes, my mind certainly does travel from one subject to another ... scared the hell out of my niece one day, we re-initiated not knowing each other ... hey, thats exactly how a person with my disabilities rolls! I hope something in all of this gives you the information you are seeking.
