Dear friends How are you all, hope each one of you are in good health. After the devastating floods which struck the Kashmir valley and Jammu region last fortnight the network condition remained very grim and I was not able to even login my facebook account for 10 days. The floods of Kashmir showed how ready we are to face such like natural calamity, and I must say that our disaster management was a failure. Our government claiming that dal lake had shrunk but keeping no provisions for its expansion. The encroachment in city of Srinagar is the worst in India. NCs vote bank policy didnt allow them to clear encroachments and rehabilitate the encroachers at some suitable place. The problem is that no one is ready to leave his house untill and unless he is provided an alternate arrangement. An EXen in UEED Deptt Srinagar needs to pay 20 lakhs to get the posting. The budget of Dal lake clearance is about 10 Crores yearly. The corruption is in the roots of Kashmir and Almighty was kind enough to give us second chance to repent otherwise He only gives one chance. The most beautiful city in India has become the most dirty due to poor management of Srinagar Municipal Corporation. Let us resolve to make our city clean and green as Mughals had worked hard during their period and made it worth living with shalamar and Nishat and let us resolve to keep atleast a boat in our lawn as our ancestors used to keep that.
