Dear lady at the doctors office who is currently glaring at me, Yes, I am aware that my five year old keeps sliding off the chair despite the fact that I am telling him to sit straight. Rolling your eyes will not make him stop, and its certainly not going to improve what you seem to think is poor parenting on my part. Go ahead and keep judging me based on the fact that I have active children who arent models of polite, calm, perfection. Clearly, you dont have any children of your own, and while I am well aware of the fact that everyone is a perfect parent until they become one, your rude glares make you look bad, not me. Im not intimidated, and try as you might Im not embarrassed. I keep smiling at you because I know something that you dont know. This stubborn, strong willed, wont-take-no-for-an-answer adventure boy is going to change the world someday. And I wouldnt have him any other way.
