Dear women who follow me, Can we PLEASE leave male-bashing and keeping your children from (or making it difficult/frustrating for) their fathers in the year 2014? I am begging you. Unless that father has done something that directly harms the child theres no reason to do this. Even if he hurt YOU. Even if he isnt shit as a partner. Even if he cant financially do what YOU would like ideally. Recognize that though those are valid concerns, they do not outweigh his invaluable presence in your childrens life. These children NEED their fathers. Part of being a good parent means not letting your feelings get in the way, it takes sacrifice. You know this when it comes to everything else. It may be difficult to engage with him. He may frustrate you. You may feel he is falling short. But to your child he is a superhero. Even if you care to subscribe to the idea that you are so strong and independent that a man is not needed, your children do not. If a man wants to be a father, for heavens sakes LET HIM!!!
