Delta Airlines Tickets - rip-off, avoid, DO NOT BUY My - TopicsExpress

Delta Airlines Tickets - rip-off, avoid, DO NOT BUY My brother-in-law recently purchased a set of three Delta Airline Tickets to visit aging family in Wisconsin. Two days prior to departure, an emergency came up that precluded two of the ticket holders from traveling to the event. In an attempt to minimize their loss, They contacted Delta and asked to transfer the ticket to my my husband who wanted attend but was unable to purchase a ticket. Delta refused to transfer the ticket, but told him that for an additional $400.00, they could arrange for the two people unable to attend the event, to use the tickets at a later date. The greed and uncaring nature displayed by Delta Airlines, a company that we, the American Taxpayers bailed out of bankruptcy just a few years ago is to say the least sickening. First off, my husband has a valid US identification, he is not on a ‘no-fly list and is in fact both a veteran of the US military and an Active Duty Guard member. How would the transfer of a ticket to his name pose a risk to security? He is certainly eligible to buy a ticket, and in fact Delta went as far as to quote a price for the purchase of another ticket during the conversation with them. Secondly of what value is a $500.00 ticket when they require an additional $400.00 to simply change the dates on them if they are used within a year of purchase? Really?? What good is that? I might as well start from scratch and buy new tickets…. So we say this about Delta. Save your money and shop around. You can almost certainly find a competitor that treats their patrons better than this, especially when you consider what we, the American taxpayers did for this company. Had they not been bailed out with our money, Delta wouldnt even exist
