Derek Adams, the Ross County manager, could try to re-sign Greek defender Evangelos Ikonomou during the January transfer window. The 26-year-old joined the Dingwall club at the same time last year before returning to his home country five months later, where he has since become a free agent. That came in reaction to an unsettled spell at Greek Super League side Veria and Ikonomou will be free to sign for a new team in the next window. Adams, whose side are in William Hill Scottish Cup action against Hibernian tomorrow, is tempted to invite the defender back to the club. The rules deem that he would not be free to join us until January, said the County manager. We would definitely look at him again, but if we can do the deal and if things will work out is another question.
